The files 3 and 17 of the newest version are corrupted, i re-downloaded them and they keep corrupted, if i ignore and install the game, when i open it, gives the message “Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod” and closes, help pls
Do you have enough space to install the game? You will need to have double the size of the game coz it will first extracting the files before installing it on your installation disc

This is the same for me. In the gog download list I needed to get patch 27 and 28, but patch 27 (25gig download) needs 388gigs to install. Doesnt seem right to me atleast.

Patch 25 (Japanese) ist incompatible with Patch 24. This causes the update chain to be broken.

For those not sure how to download the patch you need, click n the “Old Links and Patches” drop down just above the games download button. Then click the link at the bottom where it says “Patch Only Download:”.
You can see your game version in the games main menu at the bottom right. Download the version that updates from yours in the list of torrents.
Oh sh**. I just downloaded yesterday and it was still version 4.1.1.4788723. Now you already have the version with hotfix #19, but I’m not downloading 130GB all over again. Guess I’ll have to be a little patient until patch only becomes available.

When I acquired, I was at Patch 24:

I recently read that in order to update, all patches need to be added in order.
I am English, and see that the next patch in order is Japanese:
Patch 25: v4.1.1.4251417_Patch5_Hotfix4__Japanese_(69888)
To update do I need to pick up patch 25 along with the others or would I pick back up at Patch 26: v4.1.1.4425968_-_Patch_Patch5_Hotfix5_(70242)_to_Release_-_v4.1.1.4494476_-_Patch_Patch5_Hotfix6_(70408) ?

You will need to download just the patch you need. In this case you will need 4425968 and above patches until the latest version

from my experience, it’s better to just redownload the whole updated game from time to time. Sometimes new patches requires “strange” space on your hard disk, like 300gb or something, and you may not have that kind of space.

Just an advice, try not to install BG3 on a HDD, especially if you’re keeping important documents inside. There’s a reason why BG3’s mentioned ‘SSD recommended’ even if there’s Slow HDD mode option (I underestimated it before, until my old 2020 1TB HDD’s left me because of overheating). So, watch out for any constant drive (either SSD or HDD) high usage & its cooling system, set an alarm or notification at certain temperature.
